Halloween Costumes!

So here is  a couple of questions for everyone.  What are your children going to be for Halloween and are you going to be dressed up?

Back to the Grind

Well Stella is now back home and I am back to work after being off Sunday and Monday.  And boy did I get welcomed back to work with welcome hands!  People must have been very bored nine months ago because we have had babies born out the yazoo!  I believe at one point yesterday we had 11 babies born with in a 4hr time friend.  And of course there is never enough staff, so needless to say I earned my keep last night. But hey it's job security right! ;)
On my two days off I didn't really do too much. But we did make our yearly trip to the Pumpkin Patch to pick out some spooky ookies.  Now this weekend we are going to attempt to carve them. This will be very interesting with a 2yo this year. I am so excited to see little man dressed up for Halloween. He is going to be a shark.
Well I hope all is well with everyone, it's time to hit the sheets so I can be refreshed for work tonight. Have a blessed day!

STELLAAAAAAAAAA

So night one of three down at work.  Have to say it well busy but good. Got off f work this am and met one of my friends from work to pick up her puppy Stella to puppysit for a few days. She is so cute! I am so excited about keeping her for a few days, but probably not as excited as my 2yr old.  But I will tell you someone who is definitely not impressed my 6yo chihuahua Bruiser! He thinks she's a little overrated. So when I got home and Carson (my 2yo) saw Stella he flipped he kept yelling out Stellaaa Stellaaa. I felt like I was watching Rambo it was too funny.
After dropping Stella off and giving instructions to my hubby to walk miss Stella I took Carson to school against his will I might add. Again after dropping him off and trying to leave he cried and didn't want me to leave. I guess I better enjoy it now though seeing as how when he becomes a teenager he won't want anything to do with me I'm sure.  So when I drive around back of the school to leave there is a window you can look into the classroom and see the kiddos as you leave and he is fine, that boy knows how to work his momma!
Now it's time for bed ready to hit the sheets so I can do it all over again tonight! Good night all and have a blessed day!

Late Night / Night Shift

So tonight I will be trying to stay up as late as possible so that I can try and sleep tomorrow. O the joys of being a nurse on night shift! No but really I actually like it. The only part I don't really like is your off time and the fact that nobody around you gets the night shift thing especially the people who really should like your family! On your first day "off'" you have just gotten home at about 8 or so that morning so you try and get some sleep for a while then you can rejoin the rest of the world.
I do love my job though, I am a Mother Baby nurse. I take care of moms and babies from 2hrs after delivery until they go home.  It is very rewarding to help a new family grow and to teach them.  It can also be very trying but all well worth it.  The most common misunderstanding of my floor is that it is always such a happy place and that all we do is hold babies. NOT! Not everyone is happy to be having a baby. Not everyone is married and has planned this baby and is in a healthy relationship.  For the most part theses days it actually seems like the normal family is actually the rarity these days.
But this is also a part of my job that is rewarding. Getting to step in and let them know everything will be ok. That they may have a tough road ahead but nothing worth having is easy.  To offer my knowledge and heart to get them through whatever it is that they are facing.
Not to mention it does help me get my baby fill in. Though these days I am feeling overwhelmingly ready to become a mom again.  My husband and I have been married for three years now and have a 2yr old boy.  I feel the only real thing that is keeping me from baby #2 is our home.  We are trying to sale our town home so that we can get into something bigger.  I pray that this happens soon because we need the space with it just being the three of us I could not imagine bringing another baby in. For such a little thing babies take up a lot of room!

TV Dilema

So why is it that either there is absolutely nothing on TV to watch or there is two or three things on at the same time that you want to watch? TV Dilemma for the night Braves vs Giants Game #4 and American Pickers. So OK the game is obviously more important but none the less I'm doin the flipper!

So here's a question for you guys : What shows do you find yourselves flipping between when on at the same time?
